In her words, “I realized how true it is the idea that if you are out there shooting, things will happen for you. If you’re not out there, you’ll only hear about it.”

Maggie is an artist and photographer. She has many creative pursuits, but her eye for photography is always on. As one of her inspirations, Annie Leibovitz, puts it, “One doesn’t stop seeing. One doesn’t stop framing. It doesn’t turn off and on. It’s on all the time.”

Maggie grew up in the UK, and has lived in France, Poland, Belgium, and Spain. It was in Brussels where she developed her artistic skills over 8 years at the École des Arts d’Ixelles. She carried her love for photography with her when she moved to the Maresme area of Spain to stave off an initial loneliness of a new place, and to explore her new surroundings. She has since exhibited work including her Fairytales from Home series at the Festimatge festival, la Destil·leria, the Col·legi d’Aparelladors i Arquitectes Tècnics de Mataró and Associació Sant Lluc.

Photography keeps her moving, alert and opens her mind to boundless opportunities. In her words, “I realized how true it is the idea that if you are out there shooting, things will happen for you. If you’re not out there, you’ll only hear about it.”

Today, she continues to live in Maresme with her partner and family in a modernist house that is art itself. It also serves as her studio where she is available for photographic sessions.
