Belgium-born Katrien Claus has always been passionate about food: her chaotically delicious dinner parties for her fellow-students have become the stuff of legend. After graduating, she travelled the world, stimulating still further her insatiable curiosity, culinary and otherwise. She then settled with her English partner, Roly, in Barcelona, where she experienced first-hand the city’s gastronomic and social revolution of the 90s. There, she organises food tours and cooking classes for both locals and international travellers alike. Katrien lives in a mountain village in the Catalan Pyrenees where she offers culinary (and other) workshops with her organisation Montepallars. She really loves diving into her kitchen garden and other country life delights. For the last two years, she has been working on her book Intuitive Cooking, the perfect recipe for making food and life easier, more fun and sustainable. As she is self-publishing it, she organised a successful crowdfunding campaign and now the book has been printed and is available to purchase!
